Fun & Inexpensive Ways to Deal with Stress

Stress can be, well stressful, and having a few tricks up your sleeve to deal with
it is a must. While there are many ways to deal with stress, some can come with
a pretty big price tag - such as a relaxing day at the spa.

There are numerous ways to deal with stress that are free, or pretty darn close to
free, and just as relaxing as that $300 trip to the spa would be.

One of the best ways to fight stress is to get outside. Fresh air and sunlight
always improve your mood, and taking a walk is a good way to work out your
stress through some good old fashioned exercise.

Get involved in sports! Whether you prefer tennis, volleyball, or a good game of
football, consider checking out local and casual teams you can join. It will
certainly distract you from your stresses, but the physical sport will also get your
body is shape to better cope with stress. When you aren't on the court of field,
you can channel that competitive energy online with live betting at Betsson. You'll
be surprised how much fun it is to apply your sports knowledge and instincts in a
new way.

Another great way to relax and de-stress is with some mom only “me-time”. Take a nice, long bubble bath. Paint your nails. Give yourself a pedicure - or get one
done at the local nail salon. Get your hair done; a brand new cut/style, or maybe
some fun new highlights, or just a quick up-do to make you feel extra special.
If you prefer to stay in for your relaxing, or going out isn’t an option, put on some
soothing music and sip a cup of tea or a glass of wine. Movie time can be a great
stress reliever as well. Cuddle up on the couch with a comfortable blanket and
watch your favorite flick. Kids can snuggle right up with you, or you can watch
your movie solo. Not in the mood for a movie? Lose yourself in a great book.

Kids can be a great pick me up when you are in a stress induced funk. Kids have
such a unique way of looking at the world that it is very hard to stay stressed out
while playing with them. It can be something as straight forward as playing a
board game as a family, or going on a pirate adventure, building a fort, or any
other fun, imaginative game they can think up. Before you know it, you will all be
laughing and having a great time. As an added bonus, you will be making great
memories for all of you.

Art is another great way to fight stress. Being creative helps you relax, and lets
you focus completely on what you are doing without room to worry about
anything else. Sculpt with clay (or just play with play-dough), paint, or grab your
camera and take some interesting pictures.

Animals can also help with stress. There are so many benefits of owning a cat or
dog, but not many people know that petting a cat (or dog) can help relieve stress
and anxiety. If you aren’t able to own a pet right now, you can head to your local
shelter and visit the pets there. It’s a win/win because the dogs and cats will love
the attention, and you will be reducing your stress and making a difference.
How you do deal with stress? Have you tried any of the tips I mentioned
above? Any to add?
